Instead of being just a Church that welcomes and receives by keeping the doors open, let us try also to be a Church that finds new roads, that is able to step outside itself and go to those who do not attend Mass, to those who have quit or are indifferent.

Majdi A. Omar, M.D.

Dr. Omar received his medical degree from Kuwait University in 1990. After completing the Pediatric Residency Program at Blank's Children Hospital in Des Moines he established his practice in the Quad Cities. Currently he is Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Unity Point Medical Center. Dr Omar is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as the Syrian and Jordanian Medical Associations. He has returned to Jordan several times since the Syrian civil war began, providing care to children in refugee camps fleeing the conflict.
